What is it about Teeter Totters anyway

No one really knows WHEN the teeter totter or often referred to as "seesaw" was first introduced but it has been the center of joy and fun used by children and adults...sometimes pets too... alike, but as we all know there is little fun riding the teeter totter unless each end of the plank has someone in it's seat... I mean we have all seen the sad look on a child's face or adultchild sitting on one end doing nothing ... the device becomes ineffective and useless. (unless you have a family like mine who would have tried running across the plank only to fall to the ground with often tears, scrapes and scratches)... Sooo why am I contemplating this simple yet perfect thing? I'll tell you

Most who know me know that I am passionate...about pretty much everything, and given a task or idea I will certainly "overthink" it to completion or understanding.. You also know by now my political views and how passionate I am in these views that I have thought about, studied, learned and yes, Overthought... I have spent recent times in great turmoil over the polarization of people... people including my family and friends whom I love to no end.... I often say to myself... "how can they believe this way? dont they see what I see? dont they know what I absolutely know to be right? what happened to them? can I even be friendly with them anymore? I have fretted, become angry and shed tears over the truth that I, no matter how much I say, how many articles I site, how much "common sense" I insert that they just wont get it! They believe what and how they believe.

Then as I was browsing Pinterest as I do daily for inspiration, giggles, information, foods I wish my husband will cook for me (lol), tips and tricks and on... I see a photo of children playing on "Teeter Totters" and all of the sudden, like a message from God (I may not be "religious" but I am spiritual) I get it!........ wow..... just like the simple Teeter Totter... in life... we must have someone from each side to make it work!!!! no one can be successful and enjoy the great things life has for us WITHOUT someone else... we dont have to be the same, like with the teeter totter, we can look different, we can be from totally different parts of the world, we can think different thoughts, we can love different things and people... it just comes down to... There must be someone on each side for the thing to work properly and when it does... Wheeeee, Yippie... Happiness

So I will do a little changing myself now... even if it makes me frusturated ..... This crazy life we live must include others... in all their uniqueness.... Sometimes it wont work out cause hey even the teeter totter doesnt always preform well...... "Just Saying" MeSusie
